How do you deal with uprooting and starting all over again in life...? Help!?

Listen to mama! I've done kind of the same thing except I've retired to a new part of the country from anything I've known. My first thing was to get involved in the community, volunteer at hospital, church and community stuff. It's been 2 years and 3 months and counting. :) But I am making friends and feel good about myself.
