What to do. Husband or His mother Mother?

I have been having trouble with my mother in law.We have just found out My husband has cancer. We live with his parents, they live upstairs and we live downstairs. Becasue i am in college and we are trying to save money for a home. We are newly weds we have been married for almost a year. She has always been gossipy and a little controling, and she always has to make things about her. She tries to tell me how to act and how to let my husband do what ever he wants even though i cant just go and do what ever i want.She is one of those moms who thinks their kids are still conected to the umbilical cord.Always up in our bussiness and looking at our accounts, and things.I cant stand it. Now that we know he has cancer and it is treatable and all, she is even worse. She making all of his appointments, and laying off of work to come to appointments with us.She calls anyone in the hospital she can so that she can information on my hubby and when he needs to do this nad that.
