If the US military employed Nazi scientists during the Cold War, could they be playing Frankenstein today?

Apparently the US military employed known Nazi war criminals to help them design nuclear weapons technology during the Cold War. This is an example that indicates the US military is quite ruthless. I mean, these were scientists that helped Nazis design more efficient ways of exterminating people. These were scientists who conducted horrendous experiments on living children in prisoner camps. But the Cold War and the fear of commies taking over made the US military condone the atrocities carried out by these evil men. So in today’s world, with a task of sorting sheep from goats amongst hordes of Muslim fanatics, the US military might be using Frankenstein technology where human embryos are created only to be exploited then destroyed, right?
